Quick Headlines

congratulations Eclipse & Raiders

Turns out that both round 1 series ended in sweeps, but it looks like only the Raiders were really put to the test based on the scores in their games compared to the scores in the Eclipse games.

Doesn't really matter though because the 1st place seed Eclipse will be facing the 2nd place seed Raiders in the Alberta final, and the right to represent Alberta in the Minto Cup. All the action starts Saturday August 1 at the Strathcona Olympiette Centre in Edmonton.

playoff match-ups set

It came down to the very last games of the season, but the final Jr A standings have been determined and the first round playoff match-ups have been set.

The Jr A Eclipse (1st) will play the Jr A Miners (4th), and the Jr A Raiders (2nd) will play the Jr A Mountaineers (3rd). Only 2 points separated first from third, and the Miners have been playing some very strong lacrosse lately, so the first round should be a great one.

Playoff brackets, the complete playoff schedule, and all player playoff stats will of course be available through our website throughout playoffs.

did you know?

The Alberta Jr A league currently consists of 2 Calgary and 2 Edmonton teams playing an interlocking schedule with the Alberta Sr B league.

Although the Jr A clubs play regular season games (no playoff games) against the Sr division, the Jr A website (the website you are on) tracks the statistical information for the Jr A clubs only (the Sr division is exploring their own web initiative). For this reason you will not find any stats associated with Sr clubs.
