The Edmonton Eclipse win game 7 to become the 2009 Alberta Jr A Champions and punched their ticket to represent Alberta at the Minto Cup being hosted by the Brampton Excelsiors.
The Edmonton Eclipse came into Okotoks and played like a team fighting to stay alive. Their hard work paid off with an 11-4 victory, forcing game seven in Edmonton on Sunday.
The Edmonton Eclipse showed they weren’t going to let the loss in game three get to them by coming out guns a blazing in game four.
The Raiders gained home-floor advantage when they come home with a split from Edmonton last weekend. The used the advantage and their speed to take the series lead 2-1
Game 2 of the best of 7 went Sunday afternoon back at the Olympiette Center with the Eclipse taking this one. The pace of play was far superior to anything in Jr A this year with super plays beind made by both teams all over the floor.
The Alberta finals best of 7 got underway Saturday evening at the Strathcona Olympiette Center just outside Sherwood Park. The Raiders jumped out to an early lead and despite Eclipse efforts to climb back in the Raiders would pull away in the end.

Playoff Game 3: Miners vs Eclipse
The Eclipse and Miners faced off at Servus Place at 3:30 PM Sunday due to Southside Arena losing its power as a result of the storm that ravaged the Edmonton area the night before.
